Diversity of Endophytic Fungi in Seeds of Native Forest Species in Southern Brazil

ABSTRACT

The objective of the present study was to detect endophytic fungi associated with the seeds of 11 forest species. Ten genera of endophytic fungi were found associated with the seeds of those species. The most frequent fungi found in the seed lots were Aspergillus sp., Penicillium and Fusarium. Trichoderma sp. and Phomopsis sp. were also detected.
